As a BlackBerry power user you should know many thing about your phone. How to install new Apps, what ever you can do with your devices etc  in order to fully utilize the device 's functionality. Mobile apps these days comes in different file formats. Most of them are in the .jad formats.Your BlackBerry supports two formats .Alx and .Cod .Then how do you install .jad files on BlackBerry ? Recently I learned it.

     I didn't find Jad to Alx converter instead I got Jad to Cod converter , then I found the Cod file too didn't support my BlackBerry, then I try Cod to Alx conversion tool, surprisingly it  works.

  Here I going to teach you double lesson ,firstly how to convert a jad file to Cod, secondly I will let you know how you can covert Cod file to Alx format, plus an amazing BB apps, the Capture it.

    I want to install a program called Capture it, this simple Application just capture any window on your black berry ,only you need just select the capture it command from menu.The application is available on http://www.blackberrysites.com/
     Step 1

The application Capture it available to download but the file is in .jad format. I used an OTA Downloader for BlackBerry devices (Download) to download the converted file to .cod format. Download and extract the OTA Downloader.

     Step 2

Run the OTA BB Downloader and to copy the jad file, go to Capture free and find OTA Download link form the bottom of the page or just copy this OTA link (do not click the link ,right click this link and copy 'link address'), now you can paste the link into the OTA BB Downloader's  Url to .jad file box  and click Download within seconds you will get the .cod file to your  computer's Download folder.

      Step 3

Now you need to convert the .cod file to Alx format. I use an ALXMake (Download)software forWindows OS to do the job. Unfortunately the interface of this software is in Chines. So you didn't understand what to do !. Don't worry just drag and drop the .Cod file to the box on the left side and make sure the file name is appeared on the box and click the Button , the files will be converted to .Alx format and stored where your .cod file is located, check it out.

      Step 4 

Now you are ready for install new application for your BB device. Launch you BB Desktop software and go to Application Loader and install  new program to you device by using Add/Remove Applications.

Now  open your BB and got to your download box check the apps there? To test the program open media or any window select Capture it from the menu, and got to picture folder and the your captured pic will be there, isn't? If not let me know.
